Our Vision For The Tse Ataa Mensah Foundation

Site Map

The plight of most Ghanaian children in their ignorance for the need to be educated is unbearable to behold as they spend their childhood on unprofitable ventures that will jeopardise their future. This coupled with financial hardships of their families who may know about the need for education and its place in building society makes the situation even worse if not hopeless. This has resulted in most of them being exploited in diverse ways.

The TSAT MENSAH FOUNDATION is a charity organisation which seeks to address this canker in society by providing basic education for all children of school going age that it can cater for. This is to enable the children to enjoy their God given childhood. This vision was conceived by a man who believes that all children who have the opportunity to enjoy their childhood by having the basic needs of man, i.e., food, clothing and shelter with education will always have a better platform on which to start life. This will help in shaping their vision towards the betterment of their individual lives, that of their families, society, their country, Africa and the world at large because one man with a positive clear vision can make an impact.

Fortunately or unfortunately this man passed away when he was just about to be out-doored as the first chief of the family lands of Aplaku. However, the vision did not die but his children and well wishers decided to put it into practice which led to the establishment of the foundation in honour of his name TSE ATAA which simply means FATHER, a nick name given to him by his late father, Nii Kukrudu, shortly after he was born. He once said that the greatest assets of every society are its people and the well being of the people is the well being of the society.

This organisation recognises the need to work closely and in harmony with various other persons or organisations with similar goals to help people and improve the living conditions of our children (every body’s child is your child) through education.
It is our prayer that God gives us the grace and strength to carry out this vision to the best of our ability. Amen. For more info click here

Mission statement

We want to improve literacy among younger children; early introduction to books is the key to this.
We intend to provide access to written materials as well as studying materials.

We believe strongly in education and self development.
Give the children a good education in life and they will help the future development of their nation

Ghana is a developing country and so finds it difficult to hold on to its skilled minority.
We want to make sure every single child has the chance to develop and realise their potential, this can only benefit our community.
